The 5 Mindsets of the Rich That the Middle Class Don’t Have

mindsets of the rich

Forbes says that the 400 wealthiest Americans have more wealth than the bottom 150 million Americans combined. According to the data revealed over the last couple decades, the middle class seems to be shrinking, which means the income gap between rich and poor goes on widening. To speak of extremes, you will more likely be poor or rich. Which side do you want to be on?

If you want to be successful and rich, you need to change your mindset, because that’s what makes a person different from others. Here are the 5 mindsets of the rich people, that the middl don’t have.

1. The rich people don’t waste their money

Too many people spend money they haven’t earned, to buy things to impress other people. The middle class want to spend money for the fancy cars and houses. On the other hand, the rich people don’t waste money on things. The more you buy things, the more you lose, it’s important to save your money in order to stay wealthy.

It’s a famous story that the world’s 3rd richest person Warren Buffett still lives in the same house he bought in 1958, for only $31,500.

So stop buying things, focus on keep saving, and investing. Saving and investing are the key to wealth.

2. The rich people are willing to be uncomfortable

Without question, working a safe job or working for someone else is definitely comfortable and easy. That’s why so many people choose that way. But the rich people understands to put themselves in uncomfortable situations is a key to success. There is always a risk for starting your own business, you may fail and end up being a huge debt. But also, by taking that risk, you can possibly create wealth and achieve superior results.

If you want to be rich, a little risk is essential. You need to get out of the comfort zone and be willing to do uncomfortable things. You may fail but don’t worry, every successful people you know have made a lot of mistakes. They just did not quit and learned from their mistakes to improve.

3. The rich people work to learn

The middle class people are easily going to change their job when someone offers more money. But the rich understands that working isn’t about the money. Especially, in young age they would focus on learning and developing their skill to be rich to own their business in the future, while others are working to earn.

Thus, you should be working to learn if you want to be successful. Getting a good salary should not be your only goal.

4. The rich people focus on earning

“Your greatest asset is your earning ability. Your greatest resource is your time.” a famous speaker Brian Tracy said so. Saving and investing are very important, but earning more important, since it is the foundation for both. You need to save and invest to be rich, but you need more ability to earn. So focus on improving the ability of earning rather than saving.

5. The rich people are passionate

Are you passionate enough about what you are doing? I’ve met and had interviews with CEO of many companies while looking for a job. What I have found out by interacting with them was that they have an extraordinary passion for their dream, and the money is only a part of tool to turn their dream into reality. Their goal is never about getting rich or money, they all wanted to do something for people or society, to make this world a better place. You will never achieve something great if all you care about is money and yourself. You must be passionate enough for your dream, and be willing to help others. What you give, is what you get back.
