Apple finally brought its recording screen feature in its app QuickTime Player, which lets you record real time footage of iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad screen. Screen recording for them were always available, but it required you a Jailbroken device or third party software like AirPlay, which is a little laggy as I was using it before. Now, you don’t need to jailbreak or pay. All you need is QuickTime Player and iDevice with iOS 8. Make sure your Mac is running on OS X Yosemite. Anyways, let’s start.
1. Plugin your iPhone to Mac, and then launch ‘QuickTime Player’. If you don’t have QuickTime Player, you can download it here.
2. Click ‘File’ on the menu bar > ‘New Movie Recording’
3. Choose ‘iPhone’ and start recording by clicking the place indicated by the pinky arrow.
4. Click the same place to stop recording, you will be asked whether you save once you try to quit QuickTime Player. Set name and where you save to.
It’s all done!
