Do you wonder how the next generation iPhone so-called ‘iPhone 6S‘ looks like? We have a good news for you. A few days ago, 9to5mac (famous Apple blog) has revealed some photos of the iPhone 6S rear shell from an Apple’s supply chain, means they are highly legit. But hey, don’t expect a major design change for the iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus.
Because Apple wouldn’t change the design of the iPhone in its ‘S’ series by looking at the history of the iPhone. As it suggests, we cannot see any big design changes for the exterior shell in these photos. So we can tell the new iPhone will take over the same (or very identical) designs as the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus as before including the same thickness and width, with only minor internal differences.
According to 9to5mac, they suggest some differences inside the iPhone 6S frame, particularly in the mounting points for the phone’s new logic board and components, which means space for the rumoured A9 chip and 2GB ram. Except these minor changes inside, such as Lightning connector, speakers, microphones, headphone jack, volume rocker, mute button, sleep/wake button, SIM card slot, antenna lines and cutout for the rear-facing camera and LED flash are basically all identical to the iPhone 6.
Also, looking at its rear shell design, we cannot expect the rumoured dual lens camera in the next iPhone 6S since there is no space for another camera. Maybe, the dual lens could be included in the iPhone 7 which would be released in 2016.
If you are looking to upgrade from an iPhone 6 to the iPhone 6S, you don’t have to change the case you love since it has the same design. You can buy cases that says ‘for iPhone 6’ and still use it, same goes for headphones and screen protectors.
